Auburn Spartans Pop Warner Football
The Auburn Indians have had a long and very successful history that began in 1962 with just one football team coached by Leon Mathews. Over the years Auburn Pop Warner has had several flag and tackle teams ranging from ages 5-6 for Flag and ages 7-12 for Tackle. Auburn Indians kept its Indian mascot name up until 2022, when it was changed, due to New York State Mandates. The Auburn Spartan mascot was created by one of our 12u tackle players, as it was associated with Cayuga Community College’s Spartan Hall. Our football program has become all inclusive to all ages, skill levels and is a great Co-Ed model for all tackle teams in CNY.
Among the many accomplishments the Auburn Indians program has achieved in both football and cheerleading, its two proudest are the 2002 Peewee football team's conference and New York State championships, and the 1997 Peewee cheer dance team's National Championship. (As of 2005). Other recent accolades include 2019 Divisional Championship for our 10u program and Regional Championship for our 12u team in 2022. Both teams made it to States as well
